In a plain language document, people find information faster, understand it more accurately, and are more satisfied with it.
In a study comparing original and plain language regulations from the Federal Communications Commission, both people who had experience with the old regulation and people who did not have that experience did much better with the plain language version ....The article also briefly describes these two benefits:
